K-Par Archiving Software and INSTAR Corporation today announced the completion of their merger under the new name El Fresko Technologies

K-Par Archiving Software, a leader in archival and storage management software and INSTAR Corporation, an optical storage hardware reseller, announced the completion of the merger of the two companies under the new name El Fresko Technologies.

K-Par Archiving Software, established in 1988, develops archiving and storage management software solutions for magnetic, optical and tape media platforms. INSTAR Corporation is a reseller of hardware for optical storage and archiving solutions. Together the new company, El Fresko Technologies, is a recognized market leader for storage management, archiving and compliance solutions.

Under the terms of the merger, El Fresko will extend the strong optical archiving foundation developed by K-Par and INSTAR, including Archimedia and Archion, to provide the industry’s most advanced solutions for the long-term preservation of data and digital assets. El Fresko’s award-winning suite of products provides a cost effective solution for data preservation with fast, simple and reliable solutions for magnetic and optical media. Support for existing K-Par and INSTAR clients will continue to be provided by El Fresko.
